The Lidl Farm offers schoolchildren an opportunity to learn how everyday produce gets from Farm-to-Fork.

Using land at our Regional Distribution Centre in Newbridge, County Kildare, and supported by Agri Aware, Lidl has turned over 8 acres of land into a free educational farm experience which primary school children from 2nd to 6th Class can enjoy and explore.

The on-site education delivery is guided by the SESE curriculum to deliver an outdoor classroom experience. Pupils will learn through a combination of hands-on activities and discussions led by Agri Aware's Education Officers.

Young visitors can tour the specially designed farm where they can trace the farm to fork story, beginning with the soil.

Each educational experience will end with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Lidl Regional Distribution Centre - featuring The Lidl Farm train. This unique experience will provide pupils with an insight into the journey of every day products from the farm onto the shelves of their local Lidl store.

The Lidl Farm is FREE! Lidl do not charge anything for the tour experience, making this an affordable school trip which we hope is welcome news for schools and parents. However, please note that schools will need to cover their own transport costs to get here.

School Tours will run from April to June, and from September to October. A specially constructed entrance has been created which will keep farm visitors separate from distribution centre traffic.
